Midcentury architect Max Bill designed this for Germany watch powerhouse Junghans, and if there were ever a watch that obeyed the old Bauhaus tenet of "form follows function," we think this would be it. It´s clean, minimal, and by the way, the performance is great — everyone knows that German engineering is top-notch. It´s a pretty perfect marriage. The profile is slim (it´s just 10mm thick) and it´s always cool to be able to tell time from the side... since the glass is domed, you don´t have to stare at the face straight-on to read it. It´s a little more polite that way.
