A stunning "China D´or" tea service set by American Limoges in the Triumph shape. This set features a large oval serving platter and two matching teacups, all adorned with 22k gold trim and a central floral bouquet. While the platter shows signs of its history with chips on the underside rim (not visible when displayed flat), the gold filigree and pink borders remain vibrant. A lovely "shabby chic" addition to a vintage collection.This piece is from the "Golden Age" of American pottery (Sebring, Ohio). The "Triumph" shape was designed by Viktor Schreckengost, a famous industrial designer, and was very popular during the Depression and WWII eras.Fair Vintage Condition. The teacups are in good condition with no major flaws. The platter presents well from the front, but has significant condition issues on the underside: there are multiple flat chips along the bottom rim/edge and some discoloration (see photos). There is also rubbing/fading to the 22k gold trim consistent with age.
